I haven't had to worry about breaking in a new motor for many years and never a new bike. I have a friend/boss that just went from a BMW to a new CVO Limited. He has only about 300 Miles on it so far ( has only had it a few weeks here in Ohio). We have talked about breaking it in (the 30 - 60 mph, 3/4 throttle ) and he has done that. He is planning a trip to Florida ( Trailering it I believe ) He is concerned about the first 1000 Mile service as he expects to put more than 1000 miles on it and wants the 1000 mile service done by a Tech/mechanic that understands the importance of that first service. It being more than a routine service. It is the first fluid change and a check of all the factory adjustments and basically the first inspection of the bike since leaving the factory. Especially since he is new a Harley owner. I am looking for some advice.

What part of Florida is he going to be in? If he is anywhere around Gainesville or Jacksonville, both have great dealerships.

He was able to get 600 miles on it and they are riding it to Miami. Local dealer is servicing it now.
