New Bike New Member

My name is Rick and I have a 2006 Fatboy (at least it was 20k ago) and my new project ----a 2007 Road King Custom----something changed between 06 and 07 in the security system.. What is the secret? I do not have the manual as I bought it off E-Bay. The little key light is on---bikey no start---FOB is hard sided w/no button thingy---
also Handlebars are spongy instead of rigid...so before I go ripping into this thing I thought I would ask around
