Brian, It's better than Jack's excuse of not putting film in the camera and taking all the perfect shots.

LOL, this camera is very good when it works, that said Sony does not make batteries for it any more, all others I have tried do not stand up very good

I can offer you some help that little are aware of on the forum about a search.

Wrenchin -- man I have a mental block or sumpin -- I go to the self help section and select a catagory like you said, for example "General Tips" - but -- I do NOT see any 'search' buttons... I even tried ctrl f - nothing.
