neutral between gear

my problem start with not being able to find neutral.next day go for a ride and start having problem shifting and now every time i shift i hit a neutral between each gear.try to ajust clutch cable,don't work.just like to try to fix it myself.but don't know if it a serius trany problem or a clutch ajustment.

Adjusting the cable is only the cable lash, you have to adjust the clutch itself in the primary.
