He has a 2002 Road Glide. 71k on the clock. Carbureted model, 88ci, SE mufflers. It was running bad so I changed plugs and found the carb seal cut, replaced it and all the hoses since they were showing cracks and fuel filter. Air filter is good. Took the tank off and flushed it out. Problem now is it has a slight intermediate miss at low speed. Runs great on the road. One more thing, he hasn't ridden it much this year. Any suggestions other than running some gas thru it?

If you haven't already, you might drop the float bowl and clean any trash out of it. Chase all the circuits with carb spray through the little red tube. Take out the idle-air mixture needle and chase that port too. Open up the accelerator pump and make sure that the diaphram is good, and clean all that out too with carb spray. Open the petcock and let some gas flow out into a jar and see if it looks good without any floaty bits.

Button it all back up, adjust the idle-air needle to 2 1/2 turn out from a gentle seat as the starting point. New plugs and fire it up. Run around the block a few times to warm it up, and then hold the throttle at about 1200 rpm and adjust the idle-air mixture.

Add some MMO to the gas (2 oz. for 5 gal.) and take it out for a good run around.

How is that?

TQ
