Natchez Trace

Wife and I did the ride from Natchez to Nashville last year and had a great time, no rain by the way. Just set the cruise and enjoyed the scenery. No traffic or stop lights just a very leisurely ride, I recommend it.

I have ridden and driven the Trace many times. It is always an enjoyable trip, and the road winds just enough to make it fun also.

I love the Trace, it starts out at 45 then changes to 50 and stays there, and it's a National Parkway so if you get a ticket it's a biggy LOL...nothing over 4 wheels is allowed, the curves are easy (it a great ride for a beginner) It also seems about 20 degrees coller on the really hot summer days, with some great places to stop, water falls, lookouts and historic points of interest. The only downside is gas, but most of the towns that you see exits for have stations close, since they KNOW everyones looking :)

Here are some pics!

More pics...oh and if you stop at the Lewis Merryweather historic stop and need to go, don't be fooled by those signs that direct to to the bathrooms, they are about 2 1/2-3 MILES from the top and riding boots are NOT made for walking...we kept thinkin they would be just around the bend LOL

The wife and I made the trip this fall, a great ride! We enjoyed many of the stops along the way and met other bikers that offered suggestions of the best places to stop. We plan to ride again in the spring.

Foxyrider, thanks for the great pix...looks like the ride was pretty awesome. Really like the waterfall and "Here I Am" statement...sure it fit the mood to a "Tee...!":D

i'm going to try it with wife this sprintg, i'm about 50 miles from it through the woods, how often are the gas pumPS< i'm on a 883 sporty, so 3 gallons don't go very far, about 130 miles max.
There are gas opportunities that will get your 883 tank from one to the next but be aware of them and don't pass up an opportunity waiting for the next one. I actually mapped out the available gas on the NPS map so I would know how far to the next town with gas. There used to be a gas stop on the Trace (Jeff Busby in Mississippi) but it has since closed.

Thanks! Those are a collection of pics from several rides :) As for the shirt, there's a great story behind it!

My husband was in the Navy serving on a Sub and one night towards the end of a long haul he and a couple of others were talking about...women LOL Somehow the discussion turned into "How would you know if you met "THE ONE", and Jason (my hubby) said that "she better be wearing a sign." When he left (Disability discharge) They through a party for him, complete with gifts, the shirt was one of those. He laughed and had always said he'd "never be able to find HER, because he had the shirt!" He gave it to me, along with the story when he proposed.

Great Story FoxyRider...my gal Coline read it and said it was one of the best stories she has read...! :newsmile092:
