Muffler Clamps/Popping

Installed Rush Slipons/1.75in baffles on my fat bob, stock A/C, and XIEDs. The upper muffler is leaking a little air and I can't tighten it down anymore, by the way I installed new clamps. Anyone got any suggestions on getting rid of the air leak? I'm getting some slight decel/throttle backoff popping and want to rule out the air leak before I go digging any deeper. Thanks.

What about the clamps. They need to be as close to the end as poosible so they can better compress the slit.

I have a 95 flhtc and the HD book recommends that the TORCA clamps be torqued to 45 - 60 Ft LB. Did you torque them to spec?

This will require a tear down , check for burrs ,rough edges or anything that might prevent a good seal.

Other than that I have no idea.

If all else fails, some high temp silicone between the muffler and pipe and reinstall the mufflers again.
