mikuni hsr 45??

does anyone know what size engine these work best on. HP, cid, etc. how does it flow compaired to the hsr42?

45 works well on up to 103ci making up to about 130 hp, 42 is good for mild tune up to about 95ci 48 is for monster big bores making upwards of 150hp

If in doubt, go smaller. Smaller carbs. make better torque, and are more rideable, because a too large carb is not getting enough flow to work efficiently.

A 45 Mikuni is a very potent carb.
Could be used in high hp applications in engine sizes as small as 88", and could still be used in 117" touring builds.
