thx folks, this has helped alot. just ordered a 2011 xl1200x forty eight. also haveing work done in shop before it is delivered, hopefully next friday. got the stage 1 jets, remapping...V&H short shots and the SE heavy breather. can't wait to hear it and ride it. did all this over the phone with Dale's Harley in Mt. Vernon Il. haven't even seen the bike. Hope i have no probs. also added mini 8" hangers and 2-up gear with removeable black sissy and fender pillion. Thinking of adding new cam after delivery at the harley shop here in town. Dale's is 2 hours away. Think it is a good start?
