Made my own backrest mount

    Didn't want to spend the $230 that HD wanted so I bought a $14 piece of steel(2'' x 3/16'') and heated/beat/bent this into shape where it would line up with the slot in the stock seat on my FLHR. I used the mounting bolts that came on the bike..

    [​IMG] The piece bolted to the bracket is what the backrest bolts to, it also has a series of holes that give me about 3'' of height adjustment. Here it is installed after primer/paint..

    Another reason I miss my dad's shop @ the farm...need access to metal tools/equipment. Great job + ingenuity...$aved $ome ca$h to boot!!!
