well I did , went with redline syn 20/50 and most of the lifter noise is gone, runs a lot quieter, expensive oil, but what does it cost for peace of mind?

Redline is an excellent quality oil. Glad to hear you're happy with your choice!

I've used Lucas oil fuel additive and it works to lubricate the injectors on my truck every so often. I've never had the need to use it on the bike. It's like light machine oil...

When I was young and dumb, I used to put Slick 50 in with my oil. Big mistake. Engine didn't last much longer than 120k. No more oil additives for me.

I had been using Mobil 1 with really good performance. Recently I changed to Castrol 20-50 full synthetic. Bike does not like it. Runs hot and top end is noisy. Going back to Mobil 1.
