Something else no one mentioned is the lowered shocks are not designed for heavier riders!! Read the specs on HD's site and just get a lower seat, Mean City Cycles and many others can lower your seat a couple inches or more
I bought the kick back plates.. They move the shock back 1-3 inches. I went with 2 inches.. The ride is not as good. I noticed it right away. I had to put 5 more pounds in the shocks to keep it from bottoming out. I am still happy with the hieght adjustment. I am lets say not so tall. It was worth the loss of some of the smooth ride. Give and take. That bike still is a nice ride that is a step up from the honda I use to have. I got the plates on Ebay for 26 dollars and did the work myself.. To easy...
