Looking at a 93 ultra, points of concern?

Hey all,

I am looking at a 93 Ultra classic with 29,000 miles on it. Can anyone offer me some hints on what to look for? What were some of the problem areas? It is about an hour and a half away from home so can't just drop it off at the local dealership. I consider myself mechanical so if I know what to look for I can do it myself.

The early Evo's where know to have bad cam bearings.Not a huge expense to fix if caught in time.Id definetly ask if they where done.Might also ask if the neck bearings where ever done at that mileage.

Oil leek, top of head and base of jugs and shifter bushing.( shifter rattle ) Put your finger up in the bottom of the air cleaner to check for oil. ( blow by ) Good luck:s
