Loctite BLUE

It's just not needed on a drain plug. I only put blue loctite on things that come loose due to vibration or critical things. It will make removal more tedious and reinstalling unless you clean the threads.

Hey, guys, don't hate me because I'm beautiful...

But seriously, why don't they make Delrin drain plugs? They could even be made in Day-Glo colors that light up. Give me a chance to find them under a black bike in a dark garage.

I've only done one oil change so far on my '05 Softail but I just used a new o-ring and torqued to spec and hasn't leaked a drop.

No locktite on the drain plug, just a new "O" ring and torque it properly. You can use a thread sealer on the plug threads but it usually isn't necessary with a good "O" ring.

I don't use loctite on my drain plug either. I just replace the o-ring when i change the oil. Seems to work good for me. I haven't had the plug leak.
