Lock for soft bags

Been thinking about putting locks on my soft bags before some long trips this spring. How many use and what are your thoughts?

TB has the right idea, but remember that locks are merely an "inconvenience" to the knowledgable professional thief or casual end user/owner. I make sure the bags are on the bike securely, but the access relatively easy, because I would rather they steal the contents than start hacking the whole setup...

I was thinking about locks but went with an alarm instead. The Scorpio system has a perimiter sensor that lets me know if someone is near the bike.

I've got these on my Road King. They work great.

I also have the Scorpio SR-i900 alarm. It also works great.

I think that's a great idea. I had my sun glasses stolen out of the saddle bags.
