well, finsihed riding and my partner came up to me and told me that i had no rear brake lights, or turn signal. all the lights in the (EDIT) were dead. but everything else works fine in the front of the bike? anyone ever had this issue before

Might be a bad ground connection to the rear. It is an easy test to run a wire from the fender to the negative battery post.

Maybe check under rear fender for a wire that hit the tire. It is a pretty tight fit on my bike.

Quite often the wiring harness is hit by the tire especially when riding 2 up.

Seems to be a problem with Fatboys I have seen this several times, Have you had the rear wheel off recently?
