Lighting question

I feel find of silly asking but here goes.

I have 95 flhtc thats original - no modifications.
The front signal lights are dual element. One for signal and the other for visual which are always on except when you signal left or right.
The rear signal lights are single element and only comes on when one signals.

Is this normal ????

I would have thought the rear signal lights are always on except for signaling in which case they would flash.

I checked the rear light and they are not wired for dual elements

Something like this would correct the rear to do what you are asking.
This is how most guys have the rear turn used as running lights.

The guys got you covered. i put one of the kits that dbmg mentioned on my road king, simply because i wanted more light to be more visible at night. really is quite a huge difference at night....

+1 on the run/turn. I have them. Makes it a lot safer at night if you tail lite goes out.

Looks like this is normal operation. I think I will leave things as they are.
