Lighter wheels - 2009 FLHTC

Looking to see if anyone has replaced the stock rear wheel on a the newer glide, from 09 up with the new frame.

Not sure what the stock wheel weighs, or how much lighter an aftermarket one would be.
But I'm thinking there might be one out there that is a lot lighter, which would help on the performance.

Anyone have any experience with this ?

While I agree that lighter wheels will help with rotating mass I dont think you will notice little if any difference in preformance..I think you would get more bang for your buck investing in some motor upgrades...Just my opinion.....Mat

The other problem would also be that the wheel maybe lighter and look better, but we have a hard enough time keeping spoked wheel from collapsing under all the weight. To find as wheel superior enough to not allow that to happen, I would think the cost would far out weigh the lighter wheel..
