purchesed a license plate frame with the turn signals built in. the problem i have is there is only a single wire for each signal. the stock plug for the signals has the power and ground wires. seems simple thinking the frame would be the common ground when mounted. the problem is when mounted like that the bike computer thinks there is a problem and trips the little red key light on the dash. any ideas how to avoid this problem? cant think how to trick the system into thinking everything is ok. oh yah

It is likely your new turn signals are LED (Light Emitting Diode displays) which draw considerably LESS current than the stock incandescent (filament bulbs) that came stock. You can buy the proper TSSM/TSM load module probably from the lamp vendor or use an aftermarket one from Küryakyn or Drag Specailties...
