lifter noise ?

Just had the tensioners go out on my (new to me) TC88 at 48000 (kms) while on holidays-cost me an expensive tow and buncha money (2 grand) and lost a day of riding on a 7 day holiday--pull the cone-check the tensioners before it happens to you

mine made some pretty good noise ,i just replaced tensioners and added bailey spring no noise now!

well i opened it up yesterday and found cam tensioner 3/4 of the way worn out .
repaced it and most all the noise is gone now
took me about 2hrs and only cost me $75 .

sure did bubbie .
the inner one showed almost no wear on it .
but to be honest i didnt know there was an inner untill the parts guy at HD told me to check it out also. he also said its not uncommon for one to wear and the other to look fine .i just replaced it with the stock one for now .
i plan to change cams this winter and will probly upgrade with the kit then .
