lcd oil temp

hi guys, i know that this has been raised before, but has anyone recently purchased and used the harley brand lcd oil temp guage. I have one on order from my local dealer, nearly $180.00 here in Oz. I have a 103 2011 RoadKing. I know some riders has issues in the past but have these been resolved??? Thanks in advance

Put one on my 07 RK lasted a couple of years then quit working, a new version has come out that they say fixed the old issues. I purchased a new one last month 1st week it quit, dealer change battery so far ok.

I have one on my Dyna that was installed in May 2010. Still works fine.

I've got one on my '03 RKC. It's been there for over 15K miles (1.5 years). No problems. My guess is that they do not like to get too hot. I added fuel and a serious oil cooler before I added the temp guage/filler cap. All is well. She rarely gets hotter than 220. She used to go to 290 once in a while. That could take out electronics. No more.

Have one on my 11 SG with almost 7500 miles on and it still works perfect.
