I talked to an independent cycle mechanic that has worked on a lot of metric cycles. According to him he has seen where a cycle with a carb sit for just one month and the carb got "gummed" up. He claims part of that is due to the consistancy of gas these days.
He said pointed out 3 cycles in his shop waiting to get the carbs cleaned and re-built because folk didn't ride their cycles often enough. He advised me to keep a carb cycle fired up and keep the gas running through the carbs. It will save a person time and money in the long run of things.
