Labor rates in your state

$80/hr is about average in Chicago...one dealer cut his labor rate to $59/hr for any winter mods done to drum up business... a buddy who wrenches tells me the winter service business is way down this year.

- vehicle jockey/cleaner
-special tools & equipment
- on going training/upgrading
- office supplies
- utility`s - lights heat water phone
-parts stock
-service employee wages
- building maintenance
- insurance ,liability casualty,workman comp,
- vacation,sick & retirement pay unemployment compensation
-capital investment (property)
-office clerks & cashiers
-taxes local state/prov fed
 
$85 a hour at HD dealer close to me in Middle and South GA. The local shop that I use (not HD dealer) is $55 and they do a GREAT job.

I live in Clarksville, get off at exit 1. I used to live in Southside, about 13 miles south of Clarksville. If you do ride down, give a holler and maybe we can take a ride together.

Too much in my opinion. I haven't had my bike long enough to have maintenance done on it yet. But, I bet it will be high in New Jersey, just like everything else.
