Kickstand?

I have an 01 dyna, the kickstand will not go over the safety catch? it'' stop on it making it un able to rest on the stand. So I have to stop it before the catch, I know this is a safety issue and cause the bike to fall one day, but is the stand adjustable?

Have you checked to be sure pivot nut and attachment bolts are not loose on stand. Also check spring to be sure it is in proper position.... This is something you need to correct immediately because the end result would be disastrous.

I agree, spring looks right, and will be checking the bolt soon. That's a lot of chrome to mess up..

I have seen pivot bolt loosen and cause kickstand to not operate properly.

My dyna is an evo so they might have changed things a wee bit on the twin cam frame but knowing Harley's keep doing it the same way attitude they are probably the same
The kick stand pivot and mount is under the engine so you need to get the bike supported and get under it and check the operation of the stand
