Kick start to Electric start ??

Question to all...I have an O5 pan head bobber, 93ci S&S Panhead, kick start only.. due to a pretty serious injury to my right leg, having some issues on the kickstart. So, would installing a compression release mechanism do any good or would it be best to attempt to convert her to pure electric start??

In the head compression releases won't work well on kick only. With electric, the engine spins fast enough to overcome the compression loss, and close the release when combustion happens. Kick only just looses compression or will get kick back only. IMO I have no idea how your '05 S&S Panhead primary is configured. Your clutch basket needs a ring gear. If open belt, you'll need, a starter bracket and all the resulting parts and wiring.
