Kick Stand Extention

Has anyone made there own kick stand Extention? and Pics
I like to do thinks like this and could use some input.

Not sure if this will work on a touring model but I put a Deluxe jiffy stand on my Heritage. They are longer and easier to find under the foot boards. A few other guys I know also went this way and are happy with them.
