It won't turnover.

I've got an 08' sportster and I'm not getting any power to the spark plugs. The starter works fine, as does everything else on the bike, but it won't turnover it tries to start but, that it fails to do so. We took the wire off the spark plugs and couldn't get any fire between the wires and the plugs. does anyone have any idea what I can do to find the problem?
