Is it still a Softail?

I bought a 1999 Fatboy that has been lowered about 11/2" and it feels like its not as smooth as it once was. My question is when you lower a Softail is it still a Softail? Thanks....................chunky

Lowering a softail 1 1/2" will kill the ride. You'll think it's a hard tail.

Had a Deuce lowered 1" and it rode like a brick.

"Harder" soft tail...or Low rider soft tail...call it what you will! But ride it...hopefully with aftermarket seat than stock one or put coil spring seat on it save your tail, *owch* especially if you ride it on the open road...otherwise you may want to use it only for "profiling on the street." :newsmile053:
