Interested in an early 80's FLHTC

Hi, I recently purchased a sportster and realized that I drive too many miles for a bike with such a small motor and little to no storage space. I do love the ride and the look but I need more.

That being said I am interested in 2 local Electra Glide Classics (one an 83 and the other an 85). Before I commit to such a bike I was wondering if there were known problems I should be looking for. Are these "lean" years?

Before the Sportster I was driving other brand touring bikes. So the size should not be a concern.

Both bikes can be a nice daily rider if they were taken care of.However they will also have many little PITA issues cropping up the more miles they see.If you are an accomplished wrench it will be no problem but if you're going to be paying someone to work on them take that cost into account when deciding what to buy.
