Inner Primary Bearing Replaced, and more... (long post warning!)

Revision in manufacturer part numbers do not always mean they are attempting to correct a deficiency in the service life of the part. It is just as likely they changed the assembly process and that required some sort of change to the way the part is machined.

At the end of the day the dealer and the ESP did what it was supposed to do! if you hadn't picked up the ESP just think how differently your post would have read. motercycles are machines. parts fail, they break down. your experience should give you peace of mind in the future. i have taken ESP on all my rides and they have always paid for themselves or exceeded the cost of taking it out. maintain a good relationship with your dealership, the service manager and always use the same mech, if he fought for you once he will do it again.
