Inner faring removal

I was looking for advise on removing my inner faring. I have a 2008 FLHT and want to remove the faring to have it painted. I was wondering from some of the experts how difficult this is. Do the gages have to be removed? Do cables have to be disconnected? How difficult and how long should this take? If you have any pictures this would be great. Thanks

It was not very difficult for me. Take plenty of potos before you disconnect anything. All guages have to be removed but it is easy to do. Follow the manual. take your time and plan on 2 1/2hrs to remove and 2 1/2 to reasemble. Get a price for the painting prior to removing. It may be les expensive to purchase one from HD that is already painted. Some of the red pearl paints are very expensive.
