I can't get the ignition switch to release. lift out. I turn it to lock, depress the tab under it and turn the key counter clockwise...it pops up, but then when I go to pull it out it won't budge. I have an 04 Electra Glide and want to tighten the handle bar. I removed the radio and can get to one side of the clamps, but need to tighten all sides. HELP.

On my 99 I had to turn the switch to run, not sure when they changed it.

    From the link posted above.

    Glad you got it.

    4. With the ignition key still in the lock turn the LOCK ASSEMBLY to "Accessory"

Good deal...I watched a YouTube video of a guy who made home-made tool for changing switch settings after removal & it went through the removal process step-by-step. Once you get the process down - easy peasy as pudd'n pie.
