I did a bit of home brewing with a "Mr. Beer" kit. It is easy to do using their mixes. They have dozens of different mixes. I made some pretty good tasting beer (ale), and you can make stronger stuff by adding more sugar,& brewing longer. It ended up costing about $1 per liter to make, not counting original investment of bottles/keg etc.
I do. Beer, specifically ales. Not that fond of lagers, plus I don't want to deal with cooling during fermentation anyway. 20 gallon batches. I also grow my own hops.
Wine make about 80-100 gallons a year. Mango, keylime, lemon, pineapple, and even made jalapeno pepper wine last year.
