HOG Roadside Assistance question

Was thinking I need to get some type of RA program going and read the following in an older post:

Is this correct? I still have about 3mo's left on my 2yr factory warranty, but have not officially joined HOG...w/ the 3mo still active, do I have access to the HOG roadside assistance option?? Thanks -

My HOG membership runs out next month. I`m thinking about going with AMA roadside assistance, you can use it up to 5 times a year. HOG only offers a once a year with there basic membership. And AMA is less money too.
