After putting 26,000 miles on my '09 Ultra finally decided to add highway pegs. Wow. Best invention since the backrest. If had known how comfortable they were I would have done it years ago!
Over the Christmas holidays I added a crash bar and pegs to my 08 for the Salt Springs trip, it took me about dozen rides or so to get them dialed in, agree with you they are the way to go.
