I'm thinking about the elbow that HD makes with K&N but, I also like the high 5 that kuryakn makes too. Anyone running either of these and how do you like the performance ? I'm also gonna go with Vance/Hines power dual pipe and Bassani muffler or Rhinehart torque baffle muffler. I looked at the crusher muffler from kuryakn but not sure about its performance and quality of chrome. thanx for any input !

What are your expectations as far as increased ride-ability?
Would they be accommodating any other modifications?
If so, what are your plans for tuning?

Lots of choices and price ranges to choose from. For the money it's hard to beat the SE high flow A/C (backing plate). It'll also flow more than enough air for most modifications. Personally I don't care for the elbow style A/C with the exposed filter for a daily rider. They're high maintenance, exposed to the weather elements and the elbow creates turbulance (fine for a drag bike). Kuryakn big 5 was one of the lower scoring A/C units in a flow bench test. I haven't used one, I just read about it. Zippers is one of the highest flowing A/C's (over sized filter). The big sucker is simular to the SE although they had issues with the backing plates cracking early on. I think they're made better now but pay close attention to the torque specs. I've used the SE and the big sucker with good performance results.

From the muffler choices you stated I'd be inclined to go with Bassani. I haven't used them but have seen admirable results with them. I've used Rineharts. They performed pretty good. The tips turn purple over time. Bassani and Rinehart are both on the louder side of the spectrum. I'm partial to Kerker slip-ons with the Mikuni performance baffles or SuperTrapp (disc)/ Fatshots. I've had great results with them and like the company. They've been around a long time and the claims they make are real and test proven. Happy shopping.

I have the Kury high 5 on the SG. It flows and performs well. Matched with the TFI and SE II pipes, its worth money.

Thanx for info, I'm gonna stay mostly Harley just for warranty issues that may arise. I'll probably go with SE 11 Tuner,Vance hines and Bassani. I will check the fatshots with rings too. I have a nightrod special and run a indypipe from vance/hines it's great but, fatshots made a pipe for it too.
