high engine rpm's

has anyone experienced the engine reving up to 2500 rpm upon starting of engine and continuing at higher than normal rpm until engine warms up ?
i have a 2009 ultra classic with throttle sensors instead of throttle cables.
harley service doesn't think this is an abnormal condition.
 
2500 is a bit excessive. Try another dealer that knows what they are doing. It's an adjustable feature with the digital tech the dealers have.
 
Is this also related to sequence how you shut down the ignition switch / kill switch thing discussed on a thread awhile back while throttle position is not fully released prior to shut down?
