Here is the NEW M8 Harley Engine in detail

I like the fact that they are rubber mounted AND counterbalanced now.I can't wait till they put this in the B engine,at 100% compensation it will be an engine to reconsider.

What I don't get is why they did not go bigger to start with, tho this is almost a square engine bore and stroke wise, this is a good thing for long life

But you may want to wait a year or two....

Seems the MoCo is doing this different than in the past to go all new on the touring bikes before any other machine. The hottest selling machines are the touring models and they started with upgrading them first then plan to move to the others.

Like with the sportsters years ago if purchased new you would get what you paid for on trade to move up the Harley product line. I would think with the expense of these new machine they would offer some type of owner loyalty program to us who already own a touring bike which was purchased new. But I would bet that the MOCO is probably in the position of not needing such a program for they are selling all the bikes they make.

IF it gets all the Needed Motor shortfalls fixed? it would be a good to own for me... I'M Not wanting to BETA their early problems IF many?

Take for instance the rocker arms...
One problem here if you look at the rocker arms... NO Adjustment to keep the rockers touching CLOSE to the same time...
Not a perfect way to adjust them CLOSE IF one valve is OFF a Lot... I would simply Grind that Unevenness with my Dia grinder. (.) IF that rocker arm had ONE adjustable to even out the Might Be Problem, it would work better... Other motors using that similar rocker have One or even Two to adjust to get the valves matched...
Bet it come to that as a Improvement soon or it will just give you another TIC TIC that will be there and Either More on a Few motors or Less on some that were Luck of the draw that keep a Closeness in that tolerance...
