Hello,
Recently bought a 2005 sportster 1200c with a fatboy front end. Love the look, its different. Before jumping into the initial servicing needed for a garage bike from a private seller, Im curious as to what specs to follow for servicing the front end without knowing specifics of what year and model bike it actually came off of. Aswell im open for any heads up or suggestions about a bike such as this, Thanks

Welcome to the forum. There have been a couple of changes in forks thru the years. Two approaches I would do; 1) Measure the amount of oil that drains out of each leg. Hopefully it will be correct. 2) Use a mirror or a child with good eyes and look for casting numbers in the inside of the fork leg. It should be 5 digits, then - then two digits. Each side will have a different number.
The -xx number indicates the first year that slider was used, you can then look up the fork service specs for that year.
