heat shields thunderheader

Yes the shields make a big difference as far as the heat coming up from the rear cylinder pipe - besides that, the chrome that comes on those pipes leaves a lot to be desired and the shields hide almost all of the discoloring (which is very common on the Thunderheaders)

I have a theory on heat shields, IMO not only do they hide the discoloration of the pipes, they also retain more heat in the pipe to help the low pressure scavenging of the exhaust pulse waves
