Headlamp/spots weirdness

Hi all. 95 FLSTF has headlamp issues that came up recently, and wondering if anyone had this scenario already.

Here's what's happening.
No main headlamp when on Lo, only spots are on (with spot toggle On).
Hi beam is weak, and spots stay on but very very weak (spot toggle On)
Nothing on if Spot toggle is off.
The HiBeam indicator stays on regardless of Hi or Lo selected.

I accidentally touched one of the terminals of the spot toggle switch to Ground while I was investigating, and that made everything work right....until breaker kicks.

Ideas I should look at first? Thanks in advance.
 
Check your head light connector on the back of the bulb(hi/lo). It's probably melted or has no/ or weak ground.

Overdue Update:

The terminals in the headlamp plug are a little loose. I couldn't get them released from the plug to crimp them down a bit, so I carefully tweaked the headlamp prongs just a bit to make up for it. Works fine, but I think I may get a new pigtail in the near future anyway.
