Heading for Tail of The Dragon

Well after 3,188 mi. I'm back home. First part of the trip was pretty much Interstate to southern Georgia. After that it was north to the Blue Ridge Park way. What a great ride through the mountains and forest up there.
We don't really have those here in So. Texas. just flat land and Mesquite trees. Weather was very nice, no rain, and cool up there also.We spent the nite in Maggie Valley,N.C..Of course we stop at Cherokee for a new T-shirt. I needed a couple more from the trip because the wife made me throw a few old ones away. And just when they were broke in good too. Attached are a couple of pics. The first 2 are in Cherokee and the last was on The Blue Ridge Parkway More to come.

Mountains? Forests? What are these things you speak of?:D

Glad you got away to see it. I was watching Youtube Vids on that Tail of the Dragon.....added to the Bucket List

Now hold on.......Broke in Harley shirts, thrown away???:small3d002:
I went through that once with the Mrs...had to explain Harley Guy Code (HGC) to her......she gets her shoes......I get my shirts.

Welcome back.

Jennmar; no didn't go thru it. We got there,Maggie Valley, late and left early in the AM.
The next day we went back on the Blue Ridge up to Asheville for about a 100 mi. run with plenty of scenery. We then cut across to catch
Hwy. 28 to do some of the Moonshiner run.It eventually intersects with Hwy. 129 which is the Dragon.
We stopped at the start of it for something to drink and a few pics. The Tree of Shame is something else.We left there and started the Dragon. We weren't in a 1/4 mi. when 3 Sport bikes were layed WAY over heading towards us. Boy did that get my attention. They were in their lanes but hugging our line pretty tight.
Fortunally the were all good riders. It was fun riding it and that 11 mi. takes about 45 min.Lots and lots of twisties and traffic. We stopped at the other end,US 129 Dragon HD for a rest and more T's.
The pics are mainly on the Blue ridge and the Mooshiners run.No place to take pics on the Dragon.

Careful Webbtron the Witsec. program doesn't like names with pictures.

Well we headed for The Natchez Trace on the last day of Scenic stuff. We rode it from near Lawrenceburg,Tenn. to Jackson,Miss. That was close to 300 mi. of scenic forest, pastures,Tennessee River and Nuclear Plant. A very nice ride, but long at 50 mph.
The rest of the trip was pretty much interstate to get home. Had very little rain or bad weather the whole trip. I would recommend such a trip for anyone that hasn't been there or wants to return. A good Bucket List candidate.
The first 3 pics are going down the Trace, the last is at the Pearl River Reservoir on the Trace.
Hope you enjoyed my trip.I certainly did.
