I've been using a Ram mount with a LifeProof case for the past six months or so. No complaints and the phone still works after being caught out in several downpours.

I installed a 12 volt power outlet and the ram mount for my Tom Tom on my Heritage this weekend. Went on a 183 mile ride Labor day morning and the Tom Tom never even thought about popping out of the holder, as can be the case with some mounts (so do your research and read the reviews). Here are some pics of the finished install.

Tom Tom's and Garmins are pretty inexpensive these days. Might be best to leave the iphone safe and secure in your pocket.

Kuryakyn has a chrome mount that bolts into the screws for the brake cylinder. Can detach the main bracket when not using it. I just put Velcro on it & use a dedicated otter box Works perfect.
