The blinking amber light on your battery tender means that your contacts to the battery are poor or reversed and could also indicate a defective battery.
Should say on instructions, or top of tender...will turn green when battery's topped-off. Is this still your original one (2006)? Might need to test & charge, or replace. Remember - tender isn't a charger...it maintains.
