Harley oil cooler

I HAVE A 2003 ROAD KING. IT HAS A HARLEY OIL COOLER ON IT, installed by Harley. Does the oil filter adapter (part #26297-99) on those over time, from removing and installing oil filters, rotate to a position making it difficult at best to remove and install filters past the crank positioning sensor? There's also a chance it was mounted in that position originally, by Harley. If so how can I rotate adapter back to a position where I have the needed clearance? Has Harley come up with a fix for this?

I strongly recommend one of the offset adapaters by Jagg: Oil Filter Adapters | Jagg

Get the anti-rotation bracket, that will keep the adapter from rotating when you are working with the filters.

Mine (2003 Ultra) has teh adapter as well, and I have to remove the crank sensor each time I change the filter, but mine is set in one place and does not move. I have heard that I am not the only one who has to do this each change when the HD adapter is used.
