Thought this would be a good reminder:
When I got home yesterday and went to unload my saddle bags, the little tab that locks the saddlebag lid fell on the ground, when I opened the lid. The nut was trapped between the latch and the side of the saddlebag.

Vibrated loose. I didn't lose anything and it was easy enough to put back on (with some lok-tite). The nut is in a blind spot so it is not obvious. You might want to go out an check as you get ready for riding season. Nothing makes me feel worse than seeing "parts" fall to the ground. Not that this is a "critical fastener" for safety, but it is a pride thing.... I caught my shifter linkage getting loose, missed this one.:D

Definitely something to look at & tighten - especially now that alot of members/riders are dusting-off their bikes & getting out for some fresh air...

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be looking the bike over tomorrow.
