New here and checking in. I'm retired since 2008 and enjoy reading and viewing Harley articles and old vintage photo's of them.
I picked up a 1974 XL a few months ago as I'd been looking for a stock bike with as many original parts as possible for years. Since then getting it safe to ride on the road and just enjoying working on it.
I'm retired from engineering, project management, before that tool making and welding. I like to fix and rebuild things, not just replace parts. My granddad taught me mechanics and we kept an old 54 Cushman Eagle scooter running for years before my motorcycle days started.
