Greasing neck bearings

I always wondered about the description of a "water resistant" grease/oil.
Isn't it water resistant by definition? (being a grease)

A water soluable grease is called "soap".

I also never bought into the car soaps that had "wax" in the soap that somehow sticks to your paint. It may be something else, and it may work, but it is not a wax. It if becomes soluable in water, how can it stick, it if is a hydrocabon chain?

The trick is to get at the zerk fitting with tight fitting grease gun attachement and it will take a fair amount before that marine application grease oozes a bit out the bottom...
