Like bootlegger stated, the only way to have the instructions override other audio sources is to use the NIM. A word of caution, this currently only works with the HD branded Road Tech 660. The un-branded Garmin 660 isn't triggering the module correctly. It is unknown if future software releases would remedy this, so if you don't have a Road Tech 660, don't spend your money on it!
I have loaded my GPS with MP3s, so it isn't an issue for me.
