Ed at SickSaddles.com fought the foam vs gel battle as a saddlemaker. He just recently discontinued both the mem foam and the gel in favor of a brand new product, gel foam. He explains it all in the 'Info' tab on his website.

I agree, buy the Mustang and go with it. I have one on my '07 FXD and love it. I was on a 7.5 hour trip lat fall and only stopped for gas. Comfortable for the entire ride.
